Emsworth Hampshire UK|
This 6 metre traditional open passenger launch was built by HJ Mears Boat Builders in Seaton, Cornwall. Based on a Beer Cowells launch, "Idler" was a one off commissioned in 1966 with the new owner requesting a boat 2' 6" longer and 1 foot wider than the standard boat. This extra length gives “Idler” more stability in heavy weather and ensures that her hull speed is easily and quickly achieved. She is reported to be very responsive to the helm and propeller alike and easily handled in the tight confines of a marina environment.
This is an opportunity to acquire a boat with enormous character that will draw envious looks wherever she goes. "Idler" is afloat and ready to go. She is in need of some TLC but nothing major and would be suited to an owner who views boat maintenance as part of the joy of ownership.
